Since being proclaimed Artist of the Year by Radio-Canada in 2000, the year of his first concert at Lincoln Center in New York, cellist Yegor Dyachkov has performed regularly in Europe, Asia and America. He is the guest of major orchestras such as those of Antwerp, Geneva, Rio de Janeiro, Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver, and participates in numerous international festivals, including those of Évian, Kronberg, Lanaudière, Ottawa, Seattle and Tanglewood . Giving pride of place to new music, he took part, under the aegis of Yo-Yo Ma, in the “Silk Road Project” and created several works dedicated to him by Christos Hatzis, Jacques Hétu, Michael Oesterle, André Prévost and Ana. Sokolovic. He has released a dozen albums that have received critical acclaim, notably for Chandos, Analekta and ATMA Classique. A sought-after chamber musician, he collaborates with the Arditti, Borromeo and St. Lawrence quartets, pianists Anton Kuerti, Charles-Richard Hamelin, Martin Roscoe and Andrew Armstrong, violinists James Ehnes, Jonathan Crow, Antje Weithaas, Tessa Lark and Noah Bendix-Balgley , and cellists Colin Carr and Steven Isserlis. He also forms with Jean Saulnier one of the most accomplished cello-piano duos and is a founding member of the Ensemble Magellan and the Trio de Montréal. He is professor of cello and chamber music at the University of Montreal and also teaches at the Schulich School of Music of McGill University.

Since his selection as Artist of the Year by the CBC in 2000—the same year he made his Lincoln Center debut in New York—cellist Yegor Dyachkov has toured throughout Europe, Asia and the Americas. He has appeared with major orchestras in Antwerp, Geneva, Rio de Janeiro, Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver and performed at international festivals in Évian, Kronberg, Lanaudière, Ottawa, Seattle, and Tanglewood. A champion of new music, Dyachkov was invited by Yo-Yo Ma to participate in the Silk Road Project and premiered works dedicated to him by Christos Hatzis, Jacques Hétu, Michael Oesterle, André Prévost and Ana Sokolović. He has recorded a dozen critically acclaimed albums on several labels, including Chandos, Analekta and ATMA Classique. Deeply committed to chamber music, he has worked with the Arditti, Borromeo and St. Lawrence quartets, pianists Anton Kuerti, Charles-Richard Hamelin, Martin Roscoe and Andrew Armstrong, violinists James Ehnes, Jonathan Crow, Antje Weithaas, Tessa Lark and Noah Bendix -Balgley, as well as cellists Colin Carr and Steven Isserlis. In addition to his long-standing duo with pianist Jean Saulnier, he is a founding member of the Magellan Ensemble and the Montreal Piano Trio. He teaches cello and chamber music at the Université de Montréal and is also a professor at McGill University’s Schulich School of Music.

The pianist Jean Saulnier leads an active career as a performer and teacher. His ease, flexibility and quality of listening make him a sought-after partner, as evidenced by his numerous collaborations with some of the most renowned Canadian and foreign musicians. He has won several prizes in national and international competitions, notably the prestigious Prix d’Europe and the William Kapell and Leschetizky competitions. He performs in Canada, the United States, South America and Europe and has been a guest of major orchestras such as the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, the Quebec Symphony Orchestra, the Orchester Métropolitain, the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra and the I Musici de Montréal ensemble. With his long-time partners, cellist Yegor Dyachkov and clarinetist André Moisan, he has recorded several masterpieces of the chamber music repertoire under the Pelléas, ATMA Classique, Analekta and Doberman-Yppan labels. He also made, on a Pleyel piano from 1848, a recording of Chopin whose originality and refinement have been highlighted. He is a full professor at the Faculty of Music of the University of Montreal, where he has taught for more than 25 years, and regularly participates in various festivals, including the Orford Music Festival, the Gijón International Piano Festival and the Porto Pianofest.

Jean Saulnier leads an active career as a pianist and a pedagogue. His insight and flexibility have made him a highly sought-after collaborator, as can attest his extensive work with some of the most renowned Canadian and international musicians. A recipient of numerous prizes in national and international competitions—including the Prix d'Europe and the William Kapell and Leschetizsky competitions—Saulnier has performed across Canada, the United States, South America and Europe. He has been guest soloist with celebrated orchestras such as the Orchester Symphonique de Montréal, the Orchester Symphonique de Québec, Orchester Métropolitain, the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra and I Musici de Montréal. Performing with his long-time partners, cellist Yegor Dyachkov and clarinetist André Moisan, Saulnier has recorded many major chamber works on numerous labels, including Pelléas, ATMA Classique, Analekta and Doberman-Yppan. He has received critical acclaim for the refinement and originality of his recording of a Chopin recital on an 1848 Pleyel. He is currently Full Professor at the Université de Montréal’s Faculty of Music, where he has been teaching for the past 25 years. He is a regular guest at a number of festivals, including the Orford Music Festival, the Gijón International Piano Festival and Porto Pianofest.
